Cardinals Use Balanced Hitting Attack In Route Of Reds

(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Five St. Louis players drove in two runs each as the Cardinals pulled even with Cincinnati in the NL Central with a 12-4 victory over the Reds.

Matt Holliday, Ryan Ludwick, Felipe Lopez, Skip Schumaker and Jon Jay had two RBI apiece as the Redbirds jumped on Reds Starter Bronson Arroyo following a one-hour rain delay in the fourth inning.

Arroyo would give up seven earned runs, six of those coming after the delay.

Jaime Garcia allowed two earned runs in six innings of work to pick up the win, improving to 5-2. Arroyo falls to 5-3.
