Price To Miss At Least Four Months After Fracturing Knee Cap

Last updated on Tuesday, May 25, 2010

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers will be without backup point guard AJ Price for four to six months following knee surgery.

Price is expected to undergo surgery today to repair a fractured kneecap he suffered in a charity basketball game in New York City on Saturday.

The second-year player from Connecticut averaged seven points and two assists in 56 games as a rookie last season, but his playing time increased as the season went on.

The injury could affect Price's future with the Pacers as his contract for the 2010-2011 season is not guaranteed.
