Last updated on Wednesday, May 26, 2010

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indiana Pacers guard AJ Price had successful surgery to repair his fractured left kneecap on Tuesday, according to a release from the team.

He is expected to be out four to six months, which means he could miss the start of the 2010 - 2011 regular season.

Price says he was making a move to the basket at a charity basketball game at a New York City high school when the injury occurred.

The second-year pro out of Connecticut averaged seven points and two assists in 56 games as a rookie last season.
