Cubs Knock Off Phillies To Keep Winning Streak Alive

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - The Chicago Cubs picked up their fourth win in a row, defeating the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1.

Tom Gorzelanny pitched into the seventh inning, allowing no runs on three hits to improve to 2-4.

Starlin Castro put the cubs on the board with an RBI single in the third and Jeff Baker made it 2-0 with a run-scoring single in the seventh.

Ryan Howard drew the Phillies to within a run with an RBI groundout in the eighth, but Xavier Nady gave Chicago some insurance with a two-run single in the ninth.

Jamie Moyer allowed two runs over seven innings and took the loss, falling to 5-3.
