Cecil's Near Perfect Game Leads Blue Jays Past Indians

(CLEVELAND, OH) - Brett Cecil threw eight dominant innings as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 5-1.

Cecil allowed a run on one hit with two walks and ten strikeouts to improve to 2-1.

Jose Bautista hit a two-run home run with Travis Snider and John Buck adding solo blasts for the Jays.

Jhonny Peralta accounted for Cleveland's only hit off Cecil with an RBI single in the seventh.

Mitch Talbot allowed all five runs in eight innings of work for the Indians, taking the loss to fall to 3-2.
