Arroyo Dominates Cardinals As Reds Take Over First Place

(CINCINNATI, OH) - Bronson Arroyo pitched a complete game to vault the Cincinnati Reds into first place in the NL Central with a 7-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Arroyo allowed two runs on seven hits and aided his own cause with a two-run single.

Scott Rolen put the Reds on the board with a two-run home run in the first and added an RBI single in the third as Cincinnati takes a half-game lead in the division over the struggling Cardinals.

Former Red Jason LaRue hit a solo shot for St. Louis as the Redbirds have dropped nine of their last twelve games.
