Stewart Not Expecting Tire Troubles At This Years Brickyard 400

Last updated on Wednesday, April 21, 2010

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Tony Stewart is not expecting any tire troubles at this July’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Stewart made his comments following the morning session of a two-day Goodyear tire test at the speedway on Tuesday.

The test is scheduled to end today.

There has been a change to the cars since last July's race as NASCAR has removed the wings and restored spoilers to the back of the Sprint Cup cars.

Eleven teams representing each Sprint Cup car manufacturer are participating in the test.

Tire problems marred the 2008 Sprint Cup race at the Brickyard after NASCAR introduced a redesigned car but did not do a full-scale tire test at the track before the race.
