(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Brad Penny outdueled Brett Myers as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the Houston Astros 2-1.

All three runs in the game scored in the first inning. Houston got on the board when Pedro Feliz' sacrifice fly scored Michael Bourn.

The Cardinals tied the game on an RBI single from Albert Pujols and took the lead when Ryan Ludwick scored on Tommy Manzella's fielding error with two out in the inning.

Penny allowed an unearned run over seven innings to get the win while Myers allowed one earned run over seven to take the loss.

The Astros are the lone winless team in the majors and have scored just 14 runs during their 0-8 start.

The Redbirds go for the three-game series sweep this afternoon.
