(CHICAGO, IL) - Rookie Luis Atilano picked up his second win in as many major league starts as the Washington National edged the Chicago Cubs 3-2.

Atilano, who was called up when Jason Marquis was placed on the disabled list, allowed two runs on six hits in six innings of work as the Nats took two of three in the series.

Adam Kennedy put Washington on the board in the first inning with a solo homer off Cubs Starter Ryan Dempster.

Aramis Ramirez tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the first and the teams exchanged runs in the second on RBI singles by Wil Nieves and Ryan Theriot.

Adam Dunn provided the winning margin with a solo blast off Dempster in the fourth.

Dempster took the loss to fall to 2-1.
