(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Butler University has rewarded Head Basketball Coach Brad Stevens with a twelve-year contract extension.
Financial terms of the deal, which runs through the 2021-22 season, were not revealed.
The 33-year-old Stevens became a leading candidate for several openings at larger schools after leading the Bulldogs to last Monday night's National Championship game.
He reportedly spoke to a representative from the University of Oregon via telephone on Tuesday before accepting the new contract from Butler.
Stevens' name has also come up regarding openings at Wake Forest and Clemson.
