(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Andretti Autosport Owner Michael Andretti announced Wednesday that he will field a car for cousin John Andretti in next month’s Indianapolis 500.
John Andretti's deal is in partnership with NASCAR legend Richard Petty and sponsor Window World.
A similar deal was in place last year when John Andretti drove in the 500 in a car prepared by Dreyer and Reinbold Racing.
He will tune up for this year's 500 by driving a fifth Andretti Autosport car in the May 1st Izod IndyCar Series race at Kansas Speedway.
John Andretti has driven in ten Indianapolis 500's with a best finish of fifth place in 1991.
