(ARLINGTON, TX) - The Texas Rangers scored five runs in the first inning and held on to edge the Chicago White Sox 6-5.

Josh Hamilton hit a two-run homer and Joaquin Arias added a two-run single in the Rangers' big inning, doing all of their damage off White Sox Starter Jake Peavy.

Peavy would settle down and pitch into the seventh, allowing six runs on six hits.

Carlos Quentin put the White Sox on the board with a three-run homer off Texas Starter Rich Harden in the sixth.

Chicago would score two more runs in the top of the ninth but Neftali Feliz would get Juan Pierre to ground out to short on a bang-bang play at first to end the game.

Harden gets the win to even his record at 1-1 while Peavy takes the loss to fall to 0-2.
