(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - It was one and done for the Indiana Hoosiers in the Big Ten Women’S Basketball Tournament as IU fell to Illinois 59-53.
The Hoosiers had no answer for Illinois Center Jenna Smith. Smith led both teams with 23 points and 19 rebounds with Lacey Simpson adding twelve for the 16-13 Illini.
Illinois led by as many as eleven points and held off a pair of late charges as Indiana cut the deficit to two a couple of times in the final minute of the game.
Jori Davis led the Hoosiers with 20 points with Jamie Braun adding 13 as IU drops to 14-16.
