Johnson Uses Late Race Pass To Pick Up First Win At Bristol

(BRISTOL, TN) - Jimmie Johnson picked up his 50th career sprint cup win with his victory at Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Johnson passed five cars over the final ten laps and beat Tony Stewart to the finish line by almost nine-tenths of a second to claim his first Sprint Cup win at Bristol.

Kurt Busch led 278 of the 500 laps and finished third with Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth rounding out the top five.

Kevin Harvick finished eleventh and maintains a one-point edge over Kenseth in the points race with Johnson moving up to third place, 14 points behind the leader.
