United States Leads Medal Count With Six, Vonn Ready To Race

Last updated on Monday, February 15, 2010

(VANCOUVER) - After two full days of competition, the United States leads the medal count in the 21st Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The Americans so far have grabbed 6 medals, only one of which is gold. France has 2 golds, but only three total while Germany has four total medals.

American skier Lindsey Vonn went through a slalom training session yesterday to test her bruised right shin.

Vonn had not done any full-fledged training on a hill since hurting herself on February 2nd.

The first women's alpine race was originally scheduled for Sunday, but that event was pushed back to Thursday.

The first event will be the downhill, which is Vonn's best event.
