Purple Aces Upset Shockers For First Conference Win

(EVANSVILLE, IN) - The Evansville Purple Aces snapped their 14-game losing streak with a 65-62 upset of Wichita State at Roberts Stadium.

James Haarsma led the Aces with 18 points with Denver Holmes adding 17 as Evansville won for the first time since December 19th.

Garrett Stutz led the Shockers with 18 points with Demitric Williams finishing with twelve as Wichita State drops to 20-6, 9-5 in the Missouri Valley.

Evansville picks up its first MVC win to improve to 1-13 in the conference, 7-17 overall.

The Aces are at Southern Illinois on Saturday afternoon.
