(UNDATED) - There were six Indiana college basketball games Thursday night.

Number 7 Purdue got their seventh Big Ten conference win Thursday night over the Indiana Hoosiers.

Purdue was able to hold on inside the Assembly Hall in Bloomington for a 78-75 victory.

The Boilers outscored the Hoosiers by 7 points in the second half, and juniors Robbie Hummel and JaJuan Johnson each scored 21 points in the win.

Verdell Jones III scored 22 points for the Hoosiers.

Purdue plays fifth ranked Michigan State in East Lansing next Tuesday, while the Hoosiers return to action on Sunday afternoon at Northwestern.

The Number 15 Butler Bulldogs played a tight game with Detroit on Thursday, but were able to hold on for a 63-58 win.

Gordon Hayward and Matt Howard combined for 29 points, as Butler was able to overcome 21 turnovers.

Chase Simon paced the Titans with 15 points in the loss.

Butler has now won twelve straight games, and improve to 12-0 in Horizon League play.

Also in Horizon League play, Wright State was able to take care of Valparaiso 75-71 Thursday night.

The Crusaders battled all night and had three players score in double figures, but that could not stop the raiders as they made 10 three pointers on the night.

Because of the defeat, Valparaiso falls to 6-6 in the Horizon League. In Muncie, the Ball State Cardinals knocked off the Bowling Green Falcons 64-59.

The Cards received a big lift from guard Randy Davis who led all scorers with 18 points.

Ball State is now in a tie for third place in the MAC standings with Akron and Miami (OH).

Oral Roberts clipped the IPFW Mastadons 71-68 in overtime last night.

IPFW had five players score in double figures, including four of their starters, but that wasn't enough to stop the Eagles' Warren Niles who led all scorers with 21 points.

The Mastadons fall to 6-6 the summit league and 11-11 on the season.

After losing four of their last five games, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish took care of the Cincinnati Bearcats 83-65 last night.

Luke Harangody dropped in 37 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.

The Irish got a much needed victory, but are still only 5-5 in Big East play and return to action Sunday against South Florida.
