(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Colts President Bill Polian says the team was out-executed in several key situations during their Super Bowl 44 loss to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.
Polian's comments were reported on the team's website.
Polian pointed to the Colts' inability to get a first down and run out the clock at the end of the first half and their failure to recover an onside kick at the start of the second half as examples where they did not execute.
Polian went on to say that the offensive line did not play up to its normal standards against the Saints and that the Colts special teams were outplayed by New Orleans.
The Colts lost the game 31-17.
