Notre Dame Uses Balanced Scoring Attack To Knock Off USF

(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Luke Harangody scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame edged South Florida 65-62 at the Joyce Center.

Tory Jackson finished with 18 points with Ben Hansbrough adding 13 as the Irish snapped USF's four-game winning streak.

Chris Howard led the Bulls with 23 points with Jarrid Famous adding 18, but Famous missed a free throw with eight seconds left that would have tied the game at 63.

South Florida falls to 15-8, 5-6 in the Big East.

Notre Dame improves to 17-7, 6-5 in the conference.

The Irish are at Seton Hall on Thursday night.
