Northwestern Proves To Be Too Much For Young Hoosiers

(EVANSTON, IL) - All five Northwestern starters scored in double figures as the Wildcats cruised past the Indiana Hoosiers 78-61 in Evanston.

John Shurna led a balanced attack with 16 points with Luka Mirkovic adding 14 points and Jeremy Nash finishing with 13 points and ten rebounds as Northwestern improves to 16-7, 5-6 in Big Ten play.

Verdell Jones led IU with 28 points with Christian Watford adding 16.

They were the lone bright spots as the Hoosiers shot just 35 percent from the field, twelve percent from three-point range, as they lost for the fourth time in a row.

Indiana drops to 9-13, 3-7 in the Big Ten.

The Hoosiers are back home Wednesday night to play the Ohio State Buckeyes.
