(FONTANA, CA) - Jimmie Johnson used some good racing luck to pick up the win at Sunday’s Auto Club 500 Sprint Cup race in Fontana, California.
Johnson pulled onto pit road for his final stop on lap 225 when Brad Keselowski spun in turn four.
Johnson took the lead for good when the other leaders pitted during the caution period.
Kevin Harvick finished second, more than a second and a half behind Johnson, with Jeff Burton, Mark Martin and Joey Logano rounding out the top five.
Harvick takes over the points lead by 19 over Clint Bowyer heading to next Sunday's race at Las Vegas.
