(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Purdue Boilermakers won their tenth game in a row, gutting out a 59-58 win over Minnesota in Minneapolis.

JaJuan Johnson led Purdue with 14 points and ten rebounds as the Boilers won despite playing most of the game without star forward Robbie Hummel.

Hummel suffered a right knee injury with 7:11 left in the first half and returned from the locker room after halftime on crutches.

Hummel and E'Twaun Moore finished with eleven points each as Purdue improves to 24-3, 12-3 in the Big Ten.

Ralph Sampson III scored a career-high 21 points to lead Minnesota.

The Golden Gophers had a chance to win at the end after Keaton Grant's jumper with seven-point-seven seconds remaining gave Purdue the lead, but Devoe Joseph missed an open 18-footer at the horn.

The Gophers fall to 16-10, 7-7 in the conference.

Purdue hosts Michigan State on Sunday.
