(NORMAL, IL) - The Evansville Purple Aces lost their sixth game in a row, falling at Illinois State 70-56.
Lloyd Phillips led the Redbirds with 18 points with Austin Hill adding 14 as Illinois State improves to 13-4, 4-2 in MVC play.
The game was close until midway through the second half when the Redbirds used a 17-8 run to pull out to a double-digit lead with four minutes remaining.
Colt Ryan scored a game-high 22 points to lead Evansville with Denver Holmes adding ten points as the Aces fall to 6-10, 0-6 in the Missouri Valley.
UE returns home to host the Salukis of Southern Illinois on Saturday night.
