Irish Survive Late Rally, Knock Off South Florida

(TAMPA, FL) - Luke Harangody scored a season-high 36 points, including the game-winning free throw with one point nine seconds remaining to lead the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame to a 74-73 win at South Florida.

Tory Jackson and Tyrone Nash added eleven points apiece with Tim Abromaitis adding ten as the Irish staved off a late comeback by the Bulls.

Dominique Jones led USF with 26 points with Jarrid Famous scoring 14 and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick adding 13 as the Bulls fall to 10-4, 0-2 in Big East play.

The Irish improve to 13-3, 2-1 in the conference.

Notre Dame hosts number eight West Virginia on Saturday night.
