Purple Aces Pick Up Big Win, Several Games On Tap For Saturday

(UNDATED) - In men's college basketball, James Haarsma scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds to lead the Evansville Purple Aces to a 75-58 win over Georgia Southern at Roberts Stadium.

Colt Ryan added 22 points as the Aces improve to 5-3 and are 4-1 at home this season.

Colby Wohlieb led the Eagles with 12 points with Willie Powers adding eleven as Georgia Southern suffers its fifth-straight loss to fall to 3-9.

Several state basketball programs will end their finals week hibernation on Saturday.

IPFW faces number twelve Michigan State at the Breslin Center.

Seventeenth-ranked Butler hosts Xavier.

Notre Dame takes on UCLA at the Joyce Center.

Ball State and fourth-ranked Purdue face off in the Wooden Tradition at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

IUPUI hosts Duquesne. Indiana state travels to Toledo.

Evansville is at home to play Tennessee-Martin.

Valparaiso hosts Concordia and Indiana takes on North Carolina Central at Assembly Hall.
