Injury Plagued Pacers Limp To Eighth Straight Loss

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers lost their season-high eighth-straight game as the fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 121-110 at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Pacers led once at 2-1 before Memphis came alive to lead by as many as 15 in the first quarter.

The Grizzlies would lead by as much as 24 in the second quarter and held a 68-51 lead at the half.

Indiana would get no closer than ten points in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies completed a sweep of the two-game season series.

Rudy Gay led Memphis with 31 points with Marion native Zach Randolph scoring 28 points and grabbing 13 rebounds and Marc Gasol adding 21 points and ten boards.

Luther Head got a rare start for the Pacers and responded by tying his career high with 30 points.

Roy Hibbert added a career-best 25 points with 13 rebounds as Indiana falls to 9-22.

The Blue and Gold were without a couple of key players.

Troy Murphy was out after spraining his left ankle in Chicago on Tuesday night while Tyler Hansbrough missed his second-straight game with an inner ear infection.

The Pacers are off until Saturday night when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
