Evansville Needs Two Overtimes To Knock Off Tennessee Tech

(COOKEVILLE, TN) - Colt Ryan’s basket with 5.4 seconds left in the second overtime gave the Evansville Purple Aces a 91-90 victory at Tennessee Tech.

The Golden Eagles almost came back to get the win, but Jud Dillard's tip-in of Zach Bailey's miss was ruled to have come after time expired in the second overtime.

Ned Cox led the Aces with 22 points with Ryan finishing with 19, James Haarsma adding 17 points and ten rebounds and Bryan Bouchie scoring 16 points.

Frank Davis led six Golden Eagles in double figures with 19 points with Kevin Murphy adding 17 as Tennessee Tech falls to 3-5.

Evansville improves to 3-2 and will host Alabama State on Friday night.
