According To Bird O'Brien's Job Is Safe For Now

(UNDATED) - Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird says head coach Jim O’Brien’s job is safe for now.

Bird told the Indianapolis Star on Monday that he feels Indiana's problems lie with the players and not the head coach.

O'Brien's counterpart in tonight's game, Vinny Del Negro, is not receiving similar support from the Chicago front office.

ESPN reported on Monday that the decision to fire Del Negro has already been made and that the Bulls are just waiting to find a replacement.

Del Negro dismissed the report as inaccurate on Monday.
