(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Peyton Manning hit Reggie Wayne with a one-yard touchdown pass with 13 seconds remaining as the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New England Patriots 35-34 on Sunday Night Football.
The Colts trailed 31-14 after Tom Brady hit Randy Moss with a five-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Manning hit Pierre Garcon with a 29-yard TD pass to get the Colts to within ten points with twelve minutes remaining before a Steven Gostkowski 36-yard field goal put the Patriots up 34-21.
Joseph Addai scored from four yards out to draw the Colts to within six points with 2:29 remaining.
The latest chapter in the Colts-Patriots rivalry was highlighted by a stunning gamble taken by Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick decided to go for it on fourth and two with 2:08 left and the ball on the New England 28.
Brady hit Kevin Faulk with a short pass over the middle, but Colts Safety Melvin Bullitt stopped the play a yard short of the first down.
The Colts took over on downs with Manning hitting Wayne for the game-winning touchdown to keep Indianapolis unbeaten.
It was the Colts' 18th-straight regular-season win, tying the Patriots for the second-longest winning streak in NFL history.
The Colts improve to 9-0 while the Patriots fall to 6-3.
Indianapolis puts its perfect season on the line Sunday afternoon when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
