Pacers Announced They've Picked Up Second-Year Player Options

Last updated on Monday, November 2, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) -The Pacers announced Sunday that they have picked up the options on second-year players Roy Hibbert and Brandon Rush.

Both players were selected in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft and acquired by Indiana in draft-day trades.

Hibbert, a 7-foot-2 center from Georgetown, averaged seven points and three and-a-half rebounds last season. Rush, a guard out of Kansas, averaged eight points and three rebounds as a rookie.

The Blue and Gold will be without center Jeff Foster for at least two weeks due to a sprained ankle suffered in Friday's loss to Miami.

Rookie Tyler Hansbrough could make his NBA debut this Friday against Washington barring any setbacks in practice this week.

Hansbrough has been out since late July with a shin injury.
