Murphy Back To Practice, Pacers Look For Fifth Straight Win Tonight

Last updated on Tuesday, November 17, 2009

(EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ) - The Indiana Pacers face the New Jersey Nets tonight riding their longest winning streak in two seasons.

Indiana won its fourth game in a row Saturday night, beating the Boston Celtics 113-104.

The streak comes after the Pacers dropped their first three games of the season and marks the first time the blue-and-gold have been over .500 since starting last season with a 4-3 mark.

New Jersey is off to a disastrous 0-10 start.

Their latest setback came Saturday night in Miami when Dwayne Wade drained a three with one-tenth of a second remaining to give the Heat an 81-80 win.

The Pacers welcomed forward Troy Murphy back to practice on Monday.

Murphy has missed all four games during the blue-and-gold's current winning streak after bruising his lower back against Denver on November 3rd.

Murphy says he is not sure if he will see any action tonight against the Nets and that it may take a while longer before he gets back into game shape.

Head Coach Jim O'Brien says he will continue to go with a small lineup with Dahntay Jones and Danny Granger as his starters at forward, saying it is tough to go away from a group that is 4-and-0.
