(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers improved to 2-0 with a 69-61 win over South Carolina-Upstate at Assembly Hall.
Christian Watford led the Hoosiers with 17 points and ten rebounds with Maurice Creek adding 14 points, Verdell Jones scoring 13 points and Derek Elston finishing with ten points.
IU built a 20-point lead in the second half, but South Carolina Upstate used a late run to reduce the final margin of victory to single digits.
Mezie Uzochukwu led the Spartans with 14 points with Ryan Legates adding eleven as Upstate falls to 0-1.
The Hoosiers head to Puerto Rico where they will face Mississippi on Thursday afternoon.
