(HOMESTEAD, FL) - Practice and qualifying for the IndyCar Series season finale is scheduled to take place on Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The season comes to a climax on Sunday with three drivers in contention for the series championship.
Defending Champion Scott Dixon holds a five-point lead over Ganassi Racing teammate and 2007 Indycar Series champ Dario Franchitti with team Penske's Ryan Briscoe lurking just eight points behind.
Dixon is the defending pole and race-winner.
