Rockies Win Seventh In A Row

(DENVER, CO) - The Colorado Rockies won their seventh game in a row as they completed a four-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds with a 5-1 victory at Coors Field.

The Reds got on the scoreboard in the first on an RBI single by Brandon Phillips.

The Rockies responded by scoring five runs in the third with Seth Smith hitting an RBI single, Jason Giambi adding a two-run double and Garrett Atkins capping the big inning with a two-run homer off Reds starter Kip Wells.

Four Colorado pitchers combined to give up seven hits while striking out 13 Cincinnati batters.
