(CINCINNATI, IN) - The Cincinnati Reds continued their hot streak, getting past the Florida Marlins 3-2 to run their home winning streak to a season-high eight games.

The Reds scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the first inning with Darnell Mcdonald leading off with a solo home run and Jay Bruce adding a two-run single.

The Marlins would score their two runs in the fifth on an RBI single from Hanley Ramirez and a run-scoring double by Dan Uggla off Cincinnati starter Matt Maloney.

Maloney picked up his first Major League win, allowing two runs on seven hits in five innings of work to improve to 4 and 1.

Anibal Sanchez took the loss for Florida, falling to 2 and 7.

The Reds have won their last four games overall.
