(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indiana Pacers Guard Mike Dunleavy won't return to practice until November at the earliest.
The Pacers had been hopeful that Dunleavy might be ready for opening day after undergoing surgery to remove a bone spur from his right patellar tendon last March.
A recent MRI showed that Dunleavy has a strain of the ligament that will take time to heal.
The Pacers are preparing for their preseason opener with the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
They open the regular season in Atlanta on October 28th.
