(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The NHRA has fined driver John Force $10,000 dollars for making contact with an official during last weekend’s US Nationals at O’Reilly Raceway Park.
Force had to be restrained during a confrontation with fellow Funny Car driver Tony Pedregon, who accused force of intentionally losing his race with teammate Robert Hight to allow Hight to qualify for the NHRA's playoffs.
Force has the right to appeal the penalty.
