Fever Fall To The Shock 72-56

(AUBURN HILLS, MI) - The Indiana Fever are on the brink of playoff elimination after falling to the Detroit Shock 72-56 in game one of the WNBA’s Eastern Conference finals last night at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Rookie Shavonte Zellous led Detroit with 23 points with Deanna Nolan adding 22.

The Fever led by eleven points late in the second quarter, but the shock closed out the half on a 13-4 run and outscored Indiana 17-6 in the third quarter to take command.

Katie Douglas led the Fever with 16 points with Tammy Sutton-Brown adding 14 points and Tamika Catchings finishing with nine points and eleven rebounds.

Game two of the best-of-three series is Friday Night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
