(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts returned to the practice field on Wednesday minus five defensive starters.

Linebackers Gary Brackett and Clint Session, cornerback Kelvin Hayden, safety Bob Sanders and defensive end Dwight Freeney sat out Wednesday's practice with only Freeney listed as being rested.

Brackett hurt a knee and session suffered an ankle injury during Monday night's win in Miami.

Hayden left the game against the Dolphins with a hamstring injury.

Sanders continues to recover from offseason knee surgery.

The only offensive player on Wednesday's report is receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who is recovering from a severely sprained knee.

Wide receiver Steve Breaston, defensive end Kenny Iwebema and linebacker Chike Okeafor did not practice Wednesday for Arizona.
