Colts Return To Practice Field To Prepare For Season Opener

Last updated on Wednesday, September 9, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to the practice field this afternoon as they prepare for Sunday’s regular season opener with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Colts are 12 and 4 all-time against Jacksonville.

The teams split last year's two games with each team winning on its opponent's home field.

The Jaguars beat the Colts 23-21 in week three last year, dropping Indianapolis to 1 and 2 overall and 0 and 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

By the time the teams met again in week 16, the Horseshoes had turned their season around.

They scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a 31-24 win in Jacksonville.

Sunday's game will mark the regular season debut of Jim Caldwell as the Colts Head Coach.

Jack Del Rio is entering his seventh year as head coach of the Jaguars.
