Colts Opening Roster Not Set In Stone

Last updated on Monday, September 7, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts’ opening day roster is not set in stone as the team will search the waiver wire to see if any other team’s deadline cuts could provide an upgrade.

They made one such move on Sunday, picking up linebacker Cody Glenn from Washington.

Glenn was a fifth-round draft choice of the redskins out of Nebraska.

To make room for Glenn on the roster, the Colts waived veteran defensive back Matt Giordano.

The Indianapolis Star also reports that the Colts have come to terms with veteran safety Aaron Francisco.

Francisco was special teams captain for the Arizona Cardinals for the past two seasons.

He still needs to pass a physical before the deal becomes official.
