(MIAMI, FL) - The Colts spent part of their week preparing for Miami's "Wildcat" offense during practice this week.

The Wildcat, which looks to create mismatches by shifting offensive linemen around with the ball being snapped directly to a running back or a receiver in the backfield, has flourished in the NFL this season with several teams putting the formation in their offensive packages.

The Colts faced it last week with Jacksonville's Maurice Jones-Drew scoring a touchdown from the formation.

The Colts then proceeded to stuff Jones-Drew when the Jaguars tried the Wildcat again on a two-point conversion attempt.

Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell said that they would devote some time to the Wildcat during practice, but that they would be careful not to overdo it at the expense of preparing for Miami's base offense.
