IndyCar Series' Will Power Remains Hospitalized

(SANTA ROSA, CA) - IndyCar Series driver Will Power remains hospitalized in a Santa Rosa, California hospital as he recovers from injuries suffered in a practice crash Saturday at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.

Power suffered compression fractures of two vertebrae and a concussion when his car struck the disabled car of Nelson Philippe.

Philippe suffered an open fracture of the left foot, a hairline fracture of the right fibula and a concussion in the crash.

Philippe was expected to be released either late on Monday or sometime today.

Both were out for Sunday's Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma, which was won by Dario Franchitti.
