Last updated on Wednesday, August 5, 2009

(DURHAM, NC) - The Durham Bulls scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Indianapolis Indians.

Neil Walker hit a three-run double and drove in four while Erik Kratz had two runs batted in as the Tribe built a 6-1 lead.

Durham countered with single runs in the sixth and seventh before scoring four runs off Indianapolis relievers Danny Bautista and Julio Mateo in the ninth.

The winning run scored on an error by Indians second baseman Brian Bixler as the Bulls earn a split of the four-game series.

The Tribe has today off and open an eight-game homestand on Thursday, beginning with a four-game series against the Charlotte Knights.
