(KANSAS CITY, MO) - Brian Bannister pitched six strong innings and Miguel Olivo hit a two-run home run as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-3.
Bannister allowed two runs on five hits to even his record at 6 and 6.
Chicago held a 2-1 lead when the Royals scored three times in the bottom of the fourth, with Alberto Callaspo's RBI single giving Kansas City the lead for good.
Jermaine Dye added a solo homer for the white sox in the ninth, but it was not enough as Kansas City gains a split of the four-game series.
