Phillies Score Ten Runs To A 22-1 Win Over Reds

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - The Philadelphia Phillies scored ten runs in the bottom of the first en route to a 22-1 pounding of the Cincinnati Reds.

The Phillies scored nine earned runs off Reds starter Johnny Cueto, who lasted just two-thirds of an inning in falling to 8 and 5.

The Phillies' final six runs came off utility infielder Paul Janish, who pitched the eighth inning and gave up a grand slam to Jayson Werth.

Werth finished with five runs batted in with chase Utley hitting a three-run shot and driving in four and Shane Victorino and Greg Dobbs adding two-run home runs.

Cole Hamels allowed a Jonny Gomes homer, but not much else.

Hamels went seven innings allowing a run on three hits to even his record at 5 and 5.
