(EDMONTON, AB) - The IndyCar Series is in action this weekend as they race through the streets of Edmonton, Alberta.
Edmonton is the third-straight road or street course on the schedule this month with Justin Wilson winning at Watkins Glen and Dario Franchitti taking the race at Toronto two weeks ago.
Franchitti is the IndyCar Series points leader, holding a slim two-point edge over Target-Ganassi Racing teammate and defending series champion Scott Dixon.
There will be two practice sessions on Friday with qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday afternoon.
Dixon is the defending race winner.
