IndyCar Series Barber And Motorsports Announce Three-Year Partnership

(BIRMINGHAM, AL) - The IndyCar Series and Barber Motorsports Park announced a three-year partnership that will bring a race to the Birmingham, Alabama road course.

The first Indy Grand Prix of Alabama will run the weekend of April 9th through the 11th in 2010.

Barber Motorsports Park opened in 2003 and the IndyCar Series has used the track for a pair of test sessions, the latest taking place last March.

The track is 2.38 miles long and consists of 17 turns.

The IndyCar Series races this Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway.
