(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago White Sox lost their third straight to the Oakland A's, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Oakland DH Jason Giambi hit a three-run homer in the sixth off Mark Buehrle.

Home struggles continued for the Sox, who were shutout for the major-league leading eighth time this season and are hitting just .220 at US Cellular Field.

The White Sox have fallen to 25-28 with their current slide, three-and-a-half games behind AL Central leading Detroit.
