Purdue's Hummel Named USA Basketball Player

(COLORADO SPRINGS, CO) - Purdue’s Robbie Hummel was one of twelve players named to USA Basketball’s team for the upcoming World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.

The Valparaiso native will head to Serbia late this month with the competition taking place from July 2nd through the 11th.

The twelve team members were selected from among 17 finalists.

Purdue center Jajuan Johnson was one of the five who was not selected.
Butler's Gordon Hayward and Shelvin Mack were among twelve players selected for the USA basketball team that will play in the under-19 world championships in July.

That tournament also starts on July 2nd and will be played in Auckland, New Zealand.
